Mills along the Blackstone Valley

The exhibit plan showing the themes developed by the project team.
The exhibit features a portal design derived from an arch detail from the Alice Mill. The bricks were retrieved from the fire that destroyed the 112 year old mill in 2012.
Reinforcing the roots the Museum has with the community,
this person’s mother is featured in the mural behind her.
Paul Bourget, the Foundation president, envisioned an exhibit that was both a living repository of mill workers and showed how the mills changed Woonsocket. Standing to the right is Woonsocket’s mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt, she located the Alice Mill Bricks surrounding the portal base.
The interface design of the table allows four visitors to travel to five eras at 25 mill locations.
